Careers Guidance
Everly East Academy's Commitment to Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
At Everly East Academy, we are committed to developing a careers programme that will be inclusive, ambitious, and tailored to the needs of every pupil. As a new school opening soon, our vision is to create an environment where young people feel a true sense of belonging, supported by our core values of Care, Growth, and Aspiration. We believe that when pupils feel safe, understood, and valued, they are better able to explore their strengths, build confidence, and move positively towards their future. Our guiding principle — every child seen, every need met — will underpin every aspect of our approach.
Our careers provision will be shaped by national expectations and best practice, ensuring that all pupils are supported to understand a wide range of pathways and opportunities. We will place strong emphasis on personalised guidance, particularly for pupils with SEND, SEMH needs, or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring that careers education is meaningful, accessible, and aligned with each individual’s needs and aspirations.
As Everly East Academy develops, our careers programme will include opportunities such as employer encounters and workplace experiences, helping pupils gain insight into local industries and real-world roles. We will provide impartial, personalised guidance to support informed decision-making, and embed careers education within the curriculum so pupils can make clear connections between their learning and future pathways. We will also support pupils in planning their next steps, recognising that success looks different for every individual and should reflect their personal goals and interests.
We will work closely with families and carers, ensuring they are involved, informed, and supported throughout each pupil’s journey. Our approach will be regularly reviewed and developed to ensure it remains purposeful, inclusive, and responsive as the school grows.
Ultimately, our commitment is to ensure that every pupil leaves Everly East Academy with the confidence, awareness, and support they need to take their next steps — feeling capable, prepared, and hopeful about their future.
