Whole School Enrichment Calendar

Everly East Academy has developed a whole-school enrichment calendar that is carefully designed to reflect and reinforce our core values of Care, Growth and Aspirations. The calendar incorporates a wide range of nationally recognised awareness days, cultural events and wellbeing initiatives throughout the academic year. These opportunities allow pupils to explore important themes such as mental health, diversity, communication, safety, citizenship and personal development in ways that are meaningful and accessible. For our pupils, many of whom have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, enrichment activities providevaluable opportunities to build confidence, develop relationships and engage with learning beyond the traditional curriculum. By linking enrichment activities to national events and awareness days, we are able tosupport pupils in understanding the wider world while ensuring activities remain relevant, purposeful and inclusive. This approach ensures that enrichment at Everly East Academy is not an add-on, but a carefully planned element of our provision that supports pupils’ wellbeing, personal growth and aspirations for the future.

Our Enrichment Calendar

At Everly East Academy, we have chosen to use an Enrichment Calendar rather than simply focusing on key dates throughout the school year. At the heart of this are our 30 Everly Accomplishments – 10 linked to Care, 10 to Growthand 10 to Aspiration – which we want every pupil to experience and achieve during their time with us. We believe that accomplishment looks different for every child; success is not about every pupil completing something in exactly the same way, but about providing meaningful opportunities for each child to participate, develop independence, discover their strengths and feel proud of what they can achieve. Our enrichment programme will therefore create opportunities throughout each academic year for pupils to work towards these accomplishments in ways that are accessible, purposeful and appropriate to them. Alongside our Everly Accomplishments, we will also recognise and celebrate key dates, events and awareness days throughout the academic year, which will be listed at the bottom of this page.
